The site is meant to try to educate the consumer as best possible so you can have a general idea of what we offer. The possibilities when it comes to custom work are so vast we don't feel the consumer will get the most from his investment unless we are part of the process. For that reason I doubt if we will ever do a point and click shopping cart web site. It just isn't the way our customers are served best and we have a commitment from way back that says we want to get it right rather than get it wrong quickly. You can also snail mail orders to us, if you wish, by filling out our Order Form. 2007 is the 75th anniversary of the firm my grandfather Les McMurray founded in 1932. He was the first warranty center for the Crosman Airgun Company and when he went into semi-retirement in 1959 he wanted to do Airgun service for the rest of his days. He loved these little machines as much as I do and he was one of the best mechanics I've ever had the pleasure to learn from. His commitment to excellence planted a seed in my brain and I wasn't going to be satisfied until I followed in his footsteps. Coincident to the 75th anniversary of what was known as Les McMurray's Fin Fur and Feather is my 25th anniversary ownership of the firm now known as Mac1 Airgun Distributors. Witnessing my good friend Billy Lo dominate the competition with US FT #6 for a National FT Championship in 2005 is the high point of my ownership and represents the beginning of a trend I will do my best to continue. The US FT represents the culmination of efforts by my friend Larry Durham (LD) to create a timelessly accurate rifle. LD's second hand built LD SS (Simple Simon) rifle was delivered to Steve Schulz in 2001 and he subsequently proved it's worth with the National FT title for that year, Once the Simple Simon gun saw success it made possible the limited production version we have now completed nearly 100 of. No project has ever given me the level of personal satisfaction I get from delivering these extraordinary rifles. They are a joy to shoot and share with all those shooters who feel accuracy is why they got into airgunning in the first place. Our site index is on the left of this and all the pages, so you can click any item of interest. We have tips on safety, maintenance, links to airgun forums and a photo gallery. There are prices for all our products and services. If you can't find it here, call us at the Mac1 shop during our business hours, 11:00 to 6:00 daily except Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday. We sell and service airguns here; that's our business. We also do custom work here also; that's our passion. I have developed numerous upgrades to factory offerings so our products are a cut above all the rest. After you have looked through our site, call us with any questions or special requests you may have. If we don't have the answer, we'll try to get it for you or put you on to someone who does. If you have a particular application in mind, we'll let you know if we think it's practical for us to meet that challenge. Many of the expert and veteran shooters will be happy to educate you about the world of Airguns. Word of mouth drives demand for our services, as the only advertising we do lately is to congratulate our friends and champions and promote the FT game for the entire industries benefit. Competition is what drives us to do what we do and it is the best thing for the consumer to get the most for the money. We hope to capture the World FT Championship with the US FT in the near future but will stay committed to that goal till it is reached, no matter how long it takes.
